Built a FastAPI-based RESTful API connected to a PostgreSQL database via SQLModel, supporting asynchronous data collection and structured storage. Utilised Docker to containerise backend services for consistent local deployment. Additionally, developed a real-time user interface using Electron to visualise and interact with live sensor data.

Developed job specifications, tendered, recruited, and managed a team of 2 software engineers over 10 weeks to deliver a consultancy project valued at £10,000. Contracted and managed a web designer to rebrand company materials, redesign the website, and create PowerPoint templates, ensuring alignment with company ethos and values for a budget of £2,500. Created a data analytics system using C++, Python and SQL that aggregated 1.5 million data points daily from lab experiments, enabling scientists to analyse live data and optimising bioprocesses through PCB designs for cyanobacterial strain quantification. Showcased work at WebSummit 2023 in Lisbon, attended by 70,000 participants, engaging with business leaders and startup founders during Shell-hosted networking event to attract potential investors. Delivered training to 10 non-technical staff members on GitHub, enhancing project tracking, planning, management, and contributions to software projects across the company.
